Installing a new SSL Certificate
To avoid SSL errors when using HTTPS, you can replace the self-signed certificate with a SSL certificate specific to your Connection Broker hostname. You can choose to generate an SSL certificate request (CSR), install your own CN specific SSL certificate, or you a wildcard CN certificate.
Generating a certificate request
- Login to your Connection Broker Web Administrative Interface and navigate to System > Maintenance
- Select Generate SSL certificate request under SSL operations
- Fill in the form and be sure to include the correct CN. This should match the DNS entry that will be used by other users accessing the Connection Broker
- After the CSR is generated, you will see a Click here link to download the CSR file. The private key will automatically be stored on the Connection Broker, and you can use this CSR file with your CA to generate an SSL Certificate
Installing your SSL Certificate
- Login to your Connection Broker Web Administrative Interface and navigate to System > Maintenance
- Select Install new SSL private key, certificate, or intermediate certificate under SSL operations
- Upload the private key if the SSL certificate was generated without the CSR
- Upload the SSL certificate
- Optionally, upload an Intermediate or CA bundle certificate
- Click Install certificates(s); the Connection Broker will restart and apply the SSL changes.
Renewing your SSL Certificate
- Login to your Connection Broker Web Administrative Interface and navigate to System > Maintenance
- Select Install new SSL private key, certificate, or intermediate certificate under SSL operations
- Since the private key is already configured, you just need to upload the updated SSL certificate
- Optionally, upload an updated Intermediate or CA bundle certificate
- Click Install certificates(s); the Connection Broker will restart and apply the SSL changes.
