Leostream and Teradici® PCoIP® Products and Cloud Solutions

Leostream works seamlessly with Teradici Cloud Access Software and PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards, providing high-quality graphics for applications running in the datacenter or cloud. The Leostream Connection Broker allows IT to pool, assign, and manage all PCoIP devices in their organization from a single interface.

Remote Access Options for Leostream with PCoIP

Organizations that leverage the Teradici PCoIP display protocol have a number of options when it comes to providing remote access for their users. The configuration depends on the type of client the user needs to connect from and the type of remote resource they need to connect to.

ARE YOU USING CLOUD ACCESS SOFTWARE?

A combined Leostream and Teradici Cloud Access Software Deployment is depicted in the following figure.

This combination provides remote access from PCoIP Zero client, software client, or mobile client to virtual or cloud-hosted machines running the Teradici Cloud Access Software. This includes Cloud Access and Cloud Access Plus.

NOTE: The PCoIP Connection Manager and Security Gateway is not the same as the Teradici Cloud Access Manager or Cloud Access Connector. Contact Teradici for your PCM/SG for Leostream.

DO YOU HAVE REMOTE WORKSTATION CARDS?

If your users have PCoIP Zero clients and your desktops/workstations have installed or external PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards, you can use the Leostream Gateway to provide remote access, as depicted in the following figure.

This combination provides remote access from users with PCoIP Zero clients to workstations with installed PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards.

NOTE: To support this architecture, do not install the PCoIP Remote Workstation Card Agent on the operating system connected to the Remote Workstation Card.

WHAT IF I WANT TO USE A LEOSTREAM CLIENT?

To launch a PCoIP connection, you must log into Leostream using a Teradici client. Depending on which type of client you use, you can connect to different types of remote resources. Unfortunately, you cannot launch a PCoIP connection when logging in using the Leostream Web client or Leostream Connect client.

IN SUMMARY

The following table assumes you are looking for a remote access solution. If your users are located in the same network as the desktops they are trying to connect to, this table does not apply. It also does not apply if you establish a VPN connection from your user’s client to your desktops. The following information assumes you require a gateway to remote the PCoIP traffic from the client device to the remote desktop.
